There is growing demand for cordless alternatives to gas-powered outdoor power equipment. Makita is meeting demand with an expanding line of cordless OPE, including the 40V XGT® 12” Top Handle Chain Saw (GCU01M1). With zero emissions, lower noise, and considerably less maintenance than gas-powered chain saws, the GCU01M1 is a welcome solution for cutting and trimming applications. It is ideal for use by a professional arborist with up to 25% faster speed than equivalent gas-powered saws, with a high power-to-weight ratio designed for in-tree work.

Powered by one 40V XGT® battery for maximum power, speed and run-time, the GCU01M1 is easy to start by simply loading the 40V XGT® Battery and powering on. The GCU01M1 has a variable speed trigger and high chain speed (0-4,882 FPM) for improved cutting performance.
